Novel Endophyte Establishment & Management

FARM FIELD DAY & PASTURE WALK

Come out to Oakhurst Farm for a field day and pasture walk to chat about toxic endophyte concerns and the advantages of switching to Novel Endophyte Tall Fescue.

Family-owned and run since 1901, Oakhurst Farm carries on as a fifth-generation cattle and hay farm, spanning 250 acres plus 150 leased acres. Steve and Melanee Morgan manage a special herd of 150 red angus, a true linebred herd with genetics going back 70 years. More recently, the farm has branched into agritourism, even hosting a gorgeous wedding venue.

In recent years, Oakhurst Farm has converted two fields from endophyte-infected tall fescue to the Novel Endophyte variety, with great results that give the herd better forage.
